BROOKLYN - A television show could soon become reality for Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes.

According to the New York Post, Hynes will appear in a new reality show called Brooklyn DA. The series will reportedly delve into several of the office's biggest cases, including the 2011 shooting of NYPD Detective Peter Figoski.

New reports also claim that a candidate for the office has sent a cease-and-desist letter to CBS demanding that the network postpone the show until after the September Democratic primaries. The letter allegedly claims that the series serves as an illegal contribution to the Hynes campaign.
