Report: MTA not responding to jobs trend

A Manhattan think tank has released a report showing that while job growth in the outer boroughs is growing, the MTA has not kept up

NEW YORK - A Manhattan think tank has released a report showing that while job growth in the outer boroughs is growing, the MTA has not kept up with the trend.

The Center for an Urban Future says it is more difficult to commute to work within the borough than traveling to Manhattan. The center wants the MTA to increase efforts for rapid bus transit.

The MTA says it has no comment because it has not reviewed and evaluated the report.
