BROOKLYN - Police are on the hunt for the man behind a vicious hammer assault in Brooklyn.
According to investigators, the victim was hit repeatedly in the face and neck at around 11 a.m. on Jefferson Avenue, near Howard Avenue, last Thursday. They have released a sketch and video of the suspect as he ran away from the scene.
The Daily News has identified the victim as local reggae artist Dru Barnes.

The 34-year-old was rushed to Kings County Hospital and is expected to recover.
