BROOKLYN - Residents were outside Sunday, enjoying a nice respite from the snowy, cold weather.

As the snow began to thaw and temperatures crept into the 40s, people said they were relieved to be out in the sun without winter gear.

“I can’t believe I don’t have to wear my gloves,” said one resident. “Today was such a pleasant surprise.  It’s sunny and much, much warmer.”
