SHEEPSHEAD BAY - Residents in Sheepshead Bay say they are fed up with the trash piling up from illegal dumping.

Neighbors say the trash has been piling up along the B and Q line subway overpass on Avenue Y.

Residents say that the Department of Sanitation has been pitching in to try and keep things clean, but with budget cuts there is less available manpower to help keep things clean.

Community Board 15 President Theresa Scavo says they successfully lobbied the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to clean up the subway overpass on East 15th Street a few years ago and is hoping for the same result this time for Avenue Y.
