BROOKLYN - Residents in Crown Heights lined up early to get their fruits and vegetables today as the neighborhood's first-ever farmer's market opened.

The market is located in Hamilton Metz Park at Albany and Lefferts avenues. It was organized by the group Seeds in the Middle, which says its goal is to bring different groups within the community together.

Organizers say that residents can expect fresh food at the market every Thursday through November from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
