Residents: Million of trees taking over the city

BROOKLYN - The city?s initiative to plant a million trees is angering some residents who say the trees are being planted without regard to traffic flow or property lines.

MillionTreesNYC is a citywide, public-private program to plant and care for one million new trees across the city's five boroughs over the next decade.

The Department of Parks and Recreation said that each area has an individual plan for tree planting that provides the maximum benefits for a community in the long run.
