BROOKLYN - More than 100 people rolled their way to Prospect Park Saturday to enjoy the gorgeous weather and raise money for a Bedford-Stuyvesant school.

Adults and children alike rode 15 miles around the park on their scooters, as part of the 'Scootathon' fundraiser for the Brooklyn Waldorf School.

The participants were able to raise $55,000 in total during the fifth annual event.

The kids who took part learned an important lesson about the use of alternative transportation, such as the scooters they rode.

The families also heralded the beginning of spring with the Mayfair Dance, something they say their kids look forward to every year.
