Residents: Test to get census jobs tricky

BROOKLYN - Residents had mixed reactions about becoming a census worker and many cited the aptitude test as a deterrent.

Census workers visit homes and explain the purpose of the form. To become a census worker, individuals must pass an aptitude test with sections in basic reading, math and navigation.

Officials say the test requires a sixth-grade education.

To apply to become a census worker, residents can take the test online.
