Residents utilize BK evacuation centers

PARK SLOPE - As the rain becomes heavier, many residents are turning to evacuation centers across Brooklyn.

Officials say the John Jay High School shelter was already about half way full as of 10 p.m.

The shelter's supervisor says they are utilizing three auditoriums as well as several gyms to hold residents.  The school can hold up to about 500 evacuees.p>News 12 Brooklyn Weather Center National Hurricane Center
