BROOKLYN - Residents living near the intersection of Troy Avenue and Lenox Road say it needs a traffic light because too many accidents occur in the area.

Neighbors say the two?way stop signs at the intersection are unexpected and hidden from view.

Studies of the intersection conducted in 2005 and 2006 show an average of six accidents per year. That doesn?t meet the federal requirements to get traffic lights installed, according to the Department of Transportation.

Most of the accidents at the intersection have been minor. However, residents say it is still too dangerous.
