Residents worried over NYPD's plan to reduce officers

BROOKLYN - Residents are concerned following the NYPD's announcement that up to 600 officers will be reassigned throughout the boroughs to other precincts, as well as to staff the World Trade Center Command.

Residents in Crown Heights are worried that they will see fewer officers on the streets.

"I tend to feel safer when I see like a police presence," says Bridget Johnson.

The NYPD says that there have been 155 robberies in Crown Heights so far this year as compared to 105 at this time last year.
