BROOKLYN - The borough offered local revelers an alternative to Times Square or sitting at home to ring in the new year.

Brooklyn residents crowded Grand Army Plaza Monday night to ring in 2013.

Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Prospect Park Alliance organized the annual festivities, which included food trucks, live music and fireworks.
