BROOKLYN - The climbing price for gas is fueling concerns for many Brooklyn motorists struggling to fill up.

According to AAA, the national average for regular gas is $3.73 per gallon, but the average in New York City is even higher at $4.06. Just last month, a gallon of regular gas was $3.81 on average in the city.

Several drivers say that the spike in price is coming at a bad time because it's been expensive to heat their homes all winter.
