PARK SLOPE - Brooklyn residents looking to get around after the fierce snowstorm that blanketed the region faced icy road conditions Sunday.

Some drivers labored to get their snowed-in cars out of parking spaces while others who ignored warnings to use mass transit dealt with the slippery and wet roads.

Department of Sanitation Commissioner John Doherty says his crews have been "working 12-hour shifts and they'll be working those shifts for the next couple days to make sure the city is viable and alive as always."
