Robbers target 2 Evergreen Ave. stores in a week

BUSHWICK - Police say three men robbed a Bushwick deli and assaulted two people Monday, marking the second robbery to take place on Evergreen Avenue within a span of days.

The men walked into a deli and demanded money. Before taking off, the group assaulted a store clerk and a customer. Police say at least one of the men was armed.

Monday?s deli robbery was caught on surveillance video. The previous robbery took place Friday and involved a man with a gun who fled after taking cash from a register at another store on the avenue.
