BROOKLYN - The man convicted of killing two NYPD officers in 2003 has been sentenced to death.

A jury decided Ronell Wilson should get the death penalty for fatally shooting James Nemorin and Rodney Andrews during a botched gun sting in Staten Island.

A jury first sentenced him to death in 2007, but an appeals court overturned the sentence.

Wilson most recently made headlines for having a sexual relationship with a former prison guard at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center. Nancy Gonzalez was arrested in February and delivered Wilson's baby a month later.
