BROOKLYN - Brooklyn native actress Rosie Perez released a video condemning New York lawmakers for failing to legalize same-sex marriage.

Perez says New York City and the state need to get with the times.

"If you're gay, and for some crazy reason you want to get married, you can't do it here," she says in the video.

Perez's video was filmed to help raise money for "Fight Back New York," an organization targeting legislators who vote against equal rights for gays and lesbians.
