BROOKLYN - The creators of a new, three-story spa in Midwood say they aim to create an oasis in the city for people to escape stress.

The 17,000-square-foot Royal Edelweiss Spa at 1610 E. 19th St. offers more than 100 services, officials say. It opened about a week ago.

"The purpose was to open up a facility of this size to have everything under one roof," says Raphael Mavi, the spa's marketing chief.

The spa aims to hire around 250 employees altogether, including certified professionals.

It also uses computer facial scanning to diagnose things the naked eye can't see, according to the staff.
