BROOKLYN - Thousands of people took to the streets Saturday morning to participate in this year's Brooklyn Half Marathon.

The run began at the Brooklyn Museum and finished on the Coney Island Boardwalk.

Organizers say this year's attendance was the highest in the event's history, with nearly 25,000 runners participating.

The half marathon started more than 30 years ago, and event organizers say it's a race like no other.
