Runners strip down for Funderwear 5K in Coney Island
BROOKLYN - Runners sporting nothing but their skivvies braved brisk weather for a dash through Coney Island today, and it was all for a good cause.
Today marked the Funderwear 5K run, which raised money for the the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Participants in both boxers and briefs yelped and squealed, perhaps because they were thrilled to help out such a worthy cause, or perhaps due to the chilly temps in the 20s.
Some people wore their undergarments over warmer workout gear to stay warm while still spreading the Funderwear spirit.

Hundreds of runners in other cities held their own scantily clad Funderwear runs as well.
Organizers say they're considering another 5K run in the summer, when the temperatures are a bit more accommodating.
