BROOKLYN - Same-sex couples eager to get married encountered some bumps along the road earlier today.

The city reported that same-sex couples would be able to pre-register for a marriage license online beginning today. However, the website wasn't updated to reflect the change. The site had a drop-down menu that only gave options for a "Groom" and "Bride." The change went into effect late today, with "Spouse" added as an option.

Gay couples will be allowed to get married in the state starting on July 25.
