BROOKLYN HEIGHTS - A sanitation worker was killed Monday when his truck went off the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in Brooklyn Heights.

Police say Michael Occhino, 25, was driving the truck when it overturned just after 4 a.m. The truck broke through a guardrail and tossed Occhino to the ground below the expressway. After the crash, the truck could still be seen hanging from an expressway overhang.

Occhino was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators are working to figure out how he lost control of this vehicle.
