BROOKLYN - Today on the second day of the school bus strike, thousands of parents were forced to find alternate ways to get their kids to school. Business for local car services boomed as a result.

The manager of Eastern Car Service in Park Slope says parents are desperate to get their kids to school.

The city's largest school bus drivers' union is striking due to the demand for job security. Mayor Bloomberg says that the city cannot legally add the employee protection provision to the bus drivers' contracts.
