BROOKLYN - New York City Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott was in Brooklyn today where he attended freshman orientation at City Polytechnic High School.

Walcott checked in with the school's upcoming students who were given a summer project to design a bridge that can hold as many books as possible. The bridges were all built in just six hours, with the winning design holding 26 books.

Students admit that while it was exciting to have the chancellor watch their projects, it was also nerve-racking.
