BROOKLYN - Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) is calling on the state to pull an alcohol-based energy drink off the shelves.

Schumer says that beverages such as Four Loko are dangerous and can be a deadly concoction, especially for young people.

Last month, lawmakers took aim at the drink after students at Central Washington University were rushed to the hospital after drinking Four Loko.

Experts say drinking one Four Loko is equivalent to drinking four beers, one cup of coffee and one Red Bull.
