BROOKLYN - A group of Brooklyn school kids had the chance to meet an internationally acclaimed painter based in New York. 

Children with SCO Family of Services visited artist Erik Parker at his Williamsburg studio to talk with him about his work. 

SCO Program Director Camille Gill said the trip was a great opportunity for the students to broaden their horizons. 

Parker is currently working on a new piece titled "New Knowledge," which will be auctioned off at the end of April to benefit SCO's Family Dynamics Visiting Artist Program.
