BROOKLYN - Police in Brooklyn are searching for two missing children today.

Authorities say a custody battle has turned into a missing person case. Police say 6-year-old Edwin Rodriguez Jr. was last seen leaving his home yesterday with his dad Edwin Rodriguez. They say he was wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

And the search is on for a missing autistic boy who went missing from his Queens school a week ago. Police say 14-year-old Avonte Oquendo was seen leaving school on surveillance video. His family says he has a good understanding of the subway system, but is not able to communicate verbally.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
