BROOKLYN - A new ferry stop is being added to help Brooklyn commuters affected by upcoming R train service disruptions.

The Seastreak/Rockaway Ferry will be pulling into the Brooklyn Army Terminal at 58th Street in Sunset Park.

The added stop begins Monday, Aug. 5, when the MTA shuts down the Montague Tunnel for a year to repair extensive damage caused by Superstorm Sandy. As a result, there will be no weekday R trains going into Manhattan.

One-way ferry rides will cost $2 per person.
