Security initiative to be launched in memory of slain child

BROOKLYN - Brooklyn officials this weekend will launch the "Leiby Kletzky Security Initiative" in memory of Leiby Kletzy, the 8-year-old who was tragically abducted, killed and dismembered last summer.

Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-48th District) is unveiling the initiative to improve safety in the Orthodox neighborhoods of Borough Park and Midwood, which some claim are often targets for such crimes.

The initiative will see to the placement of 150 advanced security cameras throughout Borough Park and Midwood within the next two months.
