PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS - An unidentified man has been harassing pedestrians on and around Flatbush Avenue for days by spitting in their faces.

Area residents are calling him a "serial spitter," and one of his victims is a pre-schooler.

In all, the man has allegedly spit on about a dozen people in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.

One resident set up a Facebook page for victims to share their grievances.

Spitting on someone is only a violation or misdemeanor, according to police, who also say the man has been difficult to track.

A witness says the suspect is a tall, thin black man around 30 years old. He has been seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the 71st Precinct directly.
