'Shoot the Freak' attraction boarded up in Coney Island

CONEY ISLAND - A longtime Brooklyn staple has been shut down and boarded up in Coney Island.

The owner of "Shoot the Freak," Anthony Berlingieri, says overnight his landlord boarded up his business. He says the action came despite the fact that they are currently in a court battle over the initial eviction.

Berlingieri says he's pretty sure what his landlord did was illegal and plans to sue over the incident. He also says he's certain that "Shoot the Freak" will continue to remain closed indefinitely.
