BROOKLYN - Shoppers were out early on Black Friday looking for big discounts and doorbusters offered by retailers throughout Brooklyn.

Some stores opened as early as 5 p.m. Thursday, such as the Toys R Us off Bay Parkway, with many others open since midnight.

The National Retail Federation estimates that 140 million consumers will shop on Thanksgiving weekend.

Most stores had sales all day long and throughout the entire weekend, but will only last as long as supplies do.
