Sisters create boutique from bodega in Clinton Hill

CLINTON HILL - Two sisters have transformed a Clinton Hill bodega into a thriving eatery and gift shop. Located on Grand Avenue, the Urban Vintage Boutique Cafe combines a unique food menu with a large selection of jewelry, candles and picture frames. Owned and operated by Emily and Elizabeth Hazlewood, the pair say they always dreamed of going into business together. "We knew that we wanted to do something together, whatever that may be," say Elizabeth. "And this is how it came out." They say they grew up across the street from the building, and have hand-selected the items on sale there.
