BROOKLYN - Police have released a sketch and surveillance video of the ATV driver who struck an NYPD officer in East New York.

Two officers pulled over the man who was allegedly weaving in and out of traffic on his four-wheeler on South Conduit Avenue Sunday.

According to investigators, the suspect took off when the officers approached, hitting and dragging one of them nearly 200 feet.

Police Commissioner William Bratton says he hopes to pursue an attempted murder charge when the man is found and arrested.

The injured officer is still recovering from a broken vertebrae and nose, as well as cuts to his face, but Bratton says he's in good spirits.
