(09/30/10) BROOKLYN - Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and the Small Business Administration hosted a small business and lender speed-dating session today.

The event, held at Brooklyn Borough Hall, was meant to help small businesses find investors to help them finance their companies through the tough economy. Bank representatives and small business owners gathered so owners could make their pitches and bank reps could pick up clients who have "the right idea."

The event came just one day after President Barack Obama signed a bill which created a $30 billion fund to help small businesses and expand hiring.
