Snowstorm brings power outages for more than 200 in BK

BROOKLYN - More than 200 Brooklyn residents are without power because of the snowstorm that dropped more than a foot of snow on the borough.

Con Edison says the area most affected appears to be Sheepshead Bay and is offering tips for residents who lose power.

The utility company is advising Brooklyn residents who lose power to unplug appliances that would turn on automatically when the power is restored. They also suggest keeping flashlights and battery-operated radios nearby.
