BROOKLYN - The snow has cleared out, but a bitter blast of freezing temperatures is here to stay.

News 12 meteorologists say that the second snowstorm to hit the city this year not only dumped as much as 12 inches of snow in some neighborhoods, but it also left behind drier, colder air.

Potentially record-setting temperatures are expected, with numbers dropping as low as 1 or 2 degrees Thursday morning with a wind chill of negative 7.

Light snow flurries are possible for Saturday, and meteorologists are keeping an eye out for another potential snowstorm late Sunday into Monday.
