BAY RIDGE - Thousands attended the Kings County Memorial Day Parade Monday to support America?s soldiers.Parade-goers hoped for the safety of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, while honoring those who have died. Others thanked the soldiers for their freedom. Many attendees say they are also honoring family members who have fought in wars.?My grandfather was in the Navy,? says parade-goer Paul Maguire. ?I would never miss this parade for anything in the world.?
