BROOKLYN - Some soldiers and veterans marked the 238th birthday of the U.S. Army with a special march from Brooklyn to Manhattan.

Men and women assigned to the U.S. Army Recruiting Company Brooklyn North departed Cadman Plaza as part of the Espirit de Corps Ruck March.

They crossed the Brooklyn Bridge and headed up to Times Square for a party featuring live music, a presentation of colors and a big birthday cake.

The march caps off a whole week of celebrations for soldiers.
