BROOKLYN - Some students are rushing to take the GED test in New York state.

Officials say that as of Jan. 1, 2014, the current test will change, and until the first exam, no one will know what to prepare for.

Also, if a student has already passed a section of the GED, they would have to start from scratch if they take the test after 2014.

The nonprofit group Opportunities For a Better Tomorrow is offering Brooklyn students free GED prep classes to help them pass the test before the exam changes.
