Son of New York City cop stabbed to death

BUSHWICK - The teenage son of a New York City police officer was stabbed to death Thursday night.

The victim, Renato Scantlebury, also went by the name "Young Noddo" for his aspiring music career.

A friend of Scantlebury says that the teen was stabbed while he was on his way over for a visit. The stabbing occurred at 1160 Gates Ave.

The friend says that he heard a commotion out in the hallway, and when he opened the door he found Scantlebury with stab wounds to his neck, side and chest.

Scantlebury, whose mother is an NYPD officer, was pronounced dead later that evening at Woodhull Medical Center.

The victim leaves behind a 1-year-old daughter.
