QUEENS - A police source says a Brooklyn housing police officer shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide.

The 33-year-old officer apparently killed his wife near their home on Camden Avenue in Queens at around 7:45 p.m. The source says the officer then returned home and shot himself.

The officer's 46-year-old wife was a school safety agent in Queens.
