BROOKLYN - Authorities and loved ones are desperately searching for a missing special needs teenager from Cypress Hills. 

Police say 14-year-old Shawn Davenport was last seen Thursday afternoon leaving his home on Highland Place. He has Asperger syndrome, which affects his ability to socialize and communicate with others. 

Davenport is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, and close to 200 pounds with a heavy build and medium complexion. He was wearing a gray sweater, blue basketball shorts, and red and black sneakers. 

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS
