BROOKLYN - A Long Island Rail Road spokesman says today's morning commute was a "normal rush hour" following a week of service disruptions.

Officials say repairs have been made to a fire-damaged switching system in Jamaica.

The fire disrupted service for most of the last week, causing several days of schedule changes and delays.
