NY Giant Shaun Rogers and KC Chief Shaun Smith handed out turkeys.

BROOKLYN - Some star-power helped kick off the Thanksgiving holiday season in Brooklyn this week.

New York Giant Shaun Rogers and Kansas City Chief Shaun Smith teamed up with City Council member Letitia Smith for a turkey giveaway at the Ingersoll Community Center.

A collection of winter necessities for those affected by Superstorm Sandy was also held. Anyone interested in donating to the Brooklyn relief effort is encouraged to stop by James' district office at 67 Hanson Place.
