Startup incubator Urban Future Lab, which focuses on green technology companies, opens in Downtown Brooklyn

BROOKLYN - A new lab space in Downtown Brooklyn allows small business competitors to work side by side. 

The 10,000-square foot incubator known as Urban Future Lab opened Thursday.

The incubator located on the New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering campus will house start-up companies focused on energy efficiency and sustainability.

There are 13 companies that have already moved into the space, but the site can house up to 20.
