BROOKLYN - A report released by the state comptroller's office says that Coney Island and Brighton Beach are bouncing back from the recession.

Comptroller Tom DiNapoli says people, investment and opportunity are why the communities are growing.

Business owners in those communities paint a different picture, however.

They say that this year has been bad for them and some say their business has been down more than 30 percent compared to last year.

Business owners still hope that the growth in population outlined in the report will lead to better sales in the future.
