BROOKLYN - Parking problems are plaguing residents near the Barclays Center before the arena's first big event.

A plan that would provide local residents with a parking permit was nixed by state officials, leading many to believe the Jay-Z performance on Friday will be a parking disaster.

City officials say they expect up to 2,500 cars to fill the area for each event.
