BROOKLYN - A quiet, typically empty lot has been bustling with the sounds of steel as drummers gear up for the West Indian Day Parade.

The Patonic steel band group has been meeting every week to prepare for the Panorama competition, which many drummers describe as their Super Bowl.

The talented drummers range in age and styles of music, but they will all try to win the judges over this Labor Day weekend.
